Evanston, IL – Family Energy: Your Guide to a Fun and Fit Life With Kids, announced today that Entertainment Tonight’s Mark Steines and wife Leanza Cornett, a television personality and former Miss America in 1993, will appear on the cover of the premiere issue of the magazine, debuting on newsstands nationwide in July. The couple will be pictured on the cover with their two children: Kai, 2, and Avery, 5 months.
“We selected Mark, Leanza and their children for the cover of Family Energy because they are a shining example of what the magazine is all about,” says Elisa Ast All, MSJ, editor-in-chief of Family Energy. ”The Steines family lives a healthy and fit lifestyle with their children and, most importantly, they know how to have fun while doing so!”
After a typical day of jet-setting and interviewing the most famous people in the world, Steines comes home to playtime with his family. Knowing the importance of parent-child bonding, the family connects over healthy meals followed by power walks around their Los Angeles neighborhood.
“With obesity rates rising in America, it’s more important than ever to teach children the healthy way to eat and to play," says Steines. "Leanza and I are very happy to be working with Family Energy to help get the word out."

The photo shoot for the magazine was conducted at the Steines family home in Los Angeles, while the family was at play. Entertainment Tonight, the #1 entertainment newsmagazine in the world, covered the shoot and interviewed the couple about the magazine.
Entertainment Tonight will broadcast the interview when the magazine hits newsstands in July, with the August/September (back to school) issue.
